Jazz and Folk phenomenon Graeme Stephen Septet to hit Woodend Barn on Sat 6 March

Woodend Barn
in Banchory on
Saturday 6 March 8pm
.

The group is Graeme Stephen (guitar), Ben Davis - of mercury nominees Basquiat Strings (cello), Chris Stout (violin), Fraser Fifield (soprano sax/kaval), Phil Bancroft (alto sax), Mario Caribe (double bass), and Scottish Jazz Drummer of the year Stuart Ritchie.

The music draws on all these influences creating an eclectic mix of styles from folk, jazz and classical. Graeme Stephen has been described as one of the most creative musicians in the UK and has won various awards including the Jazz Services Promoters Choice Award and was chosen for the Serious/PRS Take 5 initiative in 2008. The performance will include the suite Vantage-Points inspired by locations throughout Scotland.
