Open Mic Nights In Town

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask the fellow Aberdeen Musicians if they could enlighten me about all the different open mic nights that are currently being held in Aberdeen.

Days, Timings and Venue info welcome!

Cheers

Guy

Hi All!

I'm up from North Lincs and working in the area till Friday 19th. I'm a drummer and wouldn't mind having a little bash if there are any open mics/jams going on with a drum kit provided. Blues  and rock are my faves but play anything really! Anyone know of anything?

Cheers. Stef. :band:

Cafe Drummonds every Wednesday night has an open mic/jam session.

The Moorings Jam Session continues in the same format as per the past 7+ years. WE provide full backline, everything is mic'd up, there's a sound engineer and a compere on hand. There's also a substantial house band who are happy to fill in with you.

Details from our forum:

Sunday from 8pm The Jam Factory, a combined open stage night and jam session.

We provide quality backline and everything is fully mic'd up through the PA system. There are 3 vocal mics on stage.

All musicians are welcome, you have the choice of bringing your own instruments or using ours. Hope to see you there :woohoo:

We're always seeking more musicians for our house band too. House band members receive cost price drinks on the night and a 25% discount the rest of the time, plus free admission to all our paying gigs.

FREE admission, 18 years and over welcome.

Someone should get some of the videos from the Jam Factory on youtube. There were heaps of folk recording Taff and Antony playing Djembe and Didgeridoo. It was fucking ace. More of that please!
