The Rev was only 28 years old. His proper name was James Sullivan but within music circles he was known only by his stage name.The Rev died at the age of 28, in December 2009.Most recently, The Rev played with Avenged Sevenfold. The Rev and his band won 'Best New Artist' at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards, beating out Rihanna in a controversial decision. The Rev often told the press about his taste for illegal drugs and the 'Rock and Roll' lifestyle. However, no official statements have been released about the cause of his death.The Rev will be missed by fans, friends, and family.
