Jim Stax
I again recommend the 15th of Feb as stated in previous post for your diaries. This is a little shameless plugging but we all moan about the lack good Blues etc and these guys fair kick out the more garage nasty end of the spectrum. The Bonnevilles on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloadsand we do thisTupelo Town Assembly on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

Jim Stax
To be fair, I don' t actually do that...about everything else maybe but not that.haha.I did say 'good' blues. The very word 'blues' can send shivers of dread down my spine and bring me out in hives but the racket n roll versions we are bringing up here get my vote
Mojo Workin
As they say Jim, one man's meat....not everyone's a fan of blues rock either, and all blues is good blues if it is played well. It would be a bad place if we all liked the same thing. I like all types, but it has to bear a passing resemblance to blues instead of just a band being a vehicle for a demon guitar or harp player. I can take a good twenty minutes of that before me eyes glaze over, LOL.Anyhow, to business. The Cellar 35 opening night has been put back until the first Saturday of March due to Son Henry being out of tune a little. His recent op to have a pair of P 90s and a pre-amp or whatever fitted has left us short of a brilliant Alaskan guitarist, so we're waiting until he's in better shape 'cos we can't manage without him. I'll keep you posted.
johnnydee
count me in guys. And dont forget to check out my show details in the thursday night whats on section. I play quite a bit of blues and bands influenced by the blues. Everything from muddy waters to walter trout to led zep and jimi hendrix. Now thats a shameless plug mr stax. Mojo Workin
Just been reminded that this coming Saturday evening sees the first of the Cellar 35 blues nights. Should be a great night for anyone wanting to come along. There's two amazing solo acts, Son Henry and Dick Wardell, and a set from Papamojo at some point too. See yiz there! sonhenry
Great first night! Nice house full of people and some good music. These nights are off to a great start! Schedule for the next couple of weeks is coming together, but we'll need more performers to keep this rolling. Anyone interested get in touch with Dave and I, ok? Mojo Workin
Yes, it was a great first night indeed. A good crowd and some great music too. Nice to see and hear you again too, Son, been a long time! Let's hope it keeps going and growing, Aberdeen really needs a good blues venue and the support to keep it going.
