Japanese Voyeurs + Marionettes + The Elizabeths - Thu 14 Jan @ Tunnels

Recommended Posts

Some press stuff...

"UK based Grunge-Revivalists Japanese Voyeurs Introduce themselves with pleasantly titled EP 'Sicking And Creaming'. A raw and unglossed demonstration of 3 tracks including single 'dumb'. Paying a nod to the likes of Bikini Kill and Sonic Youth, The Female fronted 5-piece capture the nostalgic Post-Punk noise of the early 90's in a fresh and contemporary fashion- The Voyeurs arent ashamed to lace their sound with hooks and melodies either. And its bold rule-breaking like this which has landed the band a slot at this years notorious Download Festival as well as tours with Dinosaur Pile Up and Johnny Foreigner.

Few have dared to drag grunge back to the surface, many are predicting the Japanese Voyeurs to front the comeback. Ripped Jeans and flannel shirts at the ready!"

Sadly The Elizabeths have had to pull out due to their drummer being injured in a car accident at the weekend. Pity as theyve been impressive recently!

We'll be trying to sort a last minute replacement opener before Thursday - any locals fancy a gig? Give us a private message.

aye well that goes without saying I would have thought. Ive already messaged them saying that and didnt really see the need to say it here like. Obviously the fact the guy was in an accident is far more important than anything else.

I meant it was a pity for them too, not for any selfish reasons.
