KimyReizeger
Read this in the P & J this morning and it just struck me. MLS side Houston Dynamo have offered to increase midfielder Stuart Holden's wages from 400 a week to 4000 after interest from Scottish clubs. Imagine getting a 10x pay rise all because Aberdeen expressed an interest in signing you? In other words, he's gone from having very ordinary means, to being rich, despite no essential change in his role at the club...Tenfold pay rise if Holden stays in US - Press & JournalSeems a bit bizarre, as if the player had absolutely no idea of his value to the club. Bigsby
Not really. Under the terms of his current contract, he gets 400 per week. That contract is about to run out, and other clubs are willing to pay more for your services. So your current employer offers you better terms to stop you moving elsewhere.Simples. Nev
I think the currant buns' interest probably has more to do with the mental payrise than Aberdeen's.
