Hey folks,

Just writing to let you all know about a Christmas wrestling show taking place at the Summerhill Hotel this Friday, December 11th. Entry is 6 with the doors open at 7pm.

Below is some additional information - hope to see you there!

FESTIVE FIGHT NIGHT AWAITS GRANITE CITY GRAPPLING FANS

Wrestling superstars return to Aberdeen for a Christmas bash like no-other!

Granite City grappling fans are in for a special treat this Christmas as the stars of Wrestlezone return for a festive fight night, when scores will be settled and championships defended.

Christmas Carnage will be the groups last wrestling show of the year and it takes place at the Summerhill Hotel on December 11th - with a very special guest set to appear at ringside!

None other than Santa Claus will be dropping in to say hello to all the fans of Wrestlezone, and he will be watching on as the superstars contest their last bouts of the year in front of the loyal Aberdeen fans.

Scottish wrestling superstar Lionheart will make his first defence of the Wrestlezone Heavyweight Championship at the event when he faces a man the Aberdeen fans despise; Tenacious Johnny Lions.

Lionheart defeated home-town hero Scotty Swift at Aberdeen Anarchy 4 in October and now wants to do all he can to uphold the prestige of the championship, and ensure the championship belt remains the biggest present under his tree this Yule time. Yuletide. To do this, hell have to go face-to-face with the man who attacked him last time out and cut his title-winning celebrations short.

A spokesman for Wrestlezone management said: Lionheart has laid down the gauntlet to all challengers and he especially welcomes Johnny Lions challenge for a bout at Christmas Carnage.

Im sure theres nothing more that Johnny Lions wants than to ruin Lionhearts Christmas by taking the championship away from him on December 11th.

The Aberdeen fans despise Johnny Lions and Im sure they will have a seasonally frosty reception for him. Lionheart understands why the fans hate the arrogant Fife grappler and Im sure he will do all he can to make sure they have a very merry Christmas by humiliating Lions at this event.

It promises to be quite the attraction, and with Santa also scheduled to appear, there is sure to be festive fun for all the family!

There will be no room for Christmas cheer as a battle of former tag team championship partners takes place at the event. The enigmatic icon, Damien, 24, shocked fans last time out with his betrayal of tag team partner The Prodigy Mikey Morris. These two will go at it with the high-flying Mikey, 18, looking to humiliate Damien in front of his home-town fans.

Northfield-resident Damien said: Mikey Morris got what was coming to him and at Christmas Carnage, there will be no room for festive spirit. Im going to show him up and prove to all of his so-called fans that he was the weak link of the team and thats what cost us the tag team titles.

Meanwhile, the scrooge of Wrestlezone, Mr. Richard R. Russell, will lead his charges, the tag team champs Sterling Oil, against the new dynamic duo of Kid Fite and rookie Bryan Tucker in a special Tag Team Championship match.

In other contests, the undefeated Crusher Craib will look to continue his winning streak as he faces a re-match with Diehard Iain Morris, while J Hazard will try to make it a difficult Aberdeen debut for Wrestlezones newest recruit, Red Lightning.

Former champion Scotty Swift will look to get his career back-on-track as he takes on The Enforcer Dave Malice. Card subject to change.

Doors at the Summerhill Hotel open at 7pm with the first bell at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced 6, can be purchased at the door.

Why is it that no-one can start a wrestling thread on here without people taking the piss? Some of actually like wrestling! Think I may go along to this actually.

Wrestling is by nature fun and a bit tongue-in-cheek. Taking the piss doesn't detract from the awesomeness of a buff midget in spandex doing a hurricanrana. I'd probably be up for going too if I could.
