Rage for Xmas number 1?

It's all part of the business plan... Instead of actually scouring the UK for talent they hold a big talent contest, market the big talent contest, put it on TV, rape "voters" for money, put on an X Factor tour etc etc. And the eventual winner is guaranteed a number one single, regardless of how talentless they are. They could give them as many number ones as they wanted to if they continued to market them, but they give up on them after about a year because they are no longer selling their music without any marketing. They normally release something a month or so before the next X Factore series is due to hit the TV. Remember last year when Joe McElderry came out to the nation? Coincidentally just a few weeks before the next X Factor series. That story and now this one of him being dropped by the label are the only two things I've heard about him since he won X Factor.

They keep on the ones who have real potential to make them even more money - like Will Young, Leona Lewis for example.

Cowell is absolutely coining it in, despite having the worst haircut in showbiz.
