Teabags
I enjoy the fact that Giles got shredded on the KaplankKapow website for his ridiculous interpretation of a harmless, opinionated article that really does nobody any harm. You are entitled to any oppinion on it you like, but equally the people writing it are as well, and it's their experiences that are highlighted. Giles obviously ran out of arguments and felt the need to be comforted by all his fellow dic jockeys. Also, how come the conversation in this thread went from angry at the fact all homeless people had supposedly been branded the same, ie- all smelly, junkies etc, and now you feel as an argument you can discribe all skateboarders in sucha way? Giles, you need to let it go you moaning cunt, and everyone else should endeavour to arrange any argumentative statements without the blatant hypocracy.Fixed. kthxbai.

Hang The DJ
GangsI didn't realise this was a clique? It's pretty charming that all you guys stick together, maybe if you put your musical minds together instead of your argumentative minds, you could stop playing shit venues and make some music that fucking sells. Then you could pay someone to argue for you, thus making it more entertaining and harder to come back against?

Hang The DJ
Sorry, didn't realise you were Calvin Harris.A millionaire professional musician? Regardless of how you see him musically, he's considerably more successful than anyone on this thread, plus at least he gets to choose who he fucks for cash: I'm sure even you would pick Dizzee Rascal over your own mum. So in that respect, wouldn't you want to be Calvin Harris to? All he does is sit in his bedrooom at home and make music: again, your dream job minus the masterbating to any half sleazy video on youtube.

Frosty Jack
I didn't realise this was a clique?Of course it's a clique. The same as pretty much any other group discussion website, forum, messageboard or whatever. That's kinda the point. Clique in the sense that the regular posters here have had time to get to know who the other posters are, they know a bit about their likes/dislikes and more importantly their sense of humour. Anyone coming in brand new like yourself is obviously going to be at a bit of a disadvantage to begin with, but the clever ones take a little bit of time to get the feel of the board. It's like starting a new job - you're not going to march into the office and expect to be best mates with everyone, or shout abuse at them because they didn't invite you to lunch. You just need to take the time to suss it out, get the feel for how this place works, and I promise you will be welcomed here just like everyone else has been since this site began. The site wouldn't have got this far if we didn't give newbies a chance, but it makes a difference if you can get off on the right foot from the start... Hang the DJ made a reasonable response to the original post: how come the conversation in this thread went from angry at the fact all homeless people who had supposedly been branded the same, ie- all smelly, junkies etc, and now you feel as an argument you can discribe all skateboarders in sucha way? Which wasn't taken up by anyone on here, who instead took the opportunity to insult him, make absurd generalisations about skaters and doctor his quotes (Teabags) in a childish attempt to make him look silly. In fact, everything written after Hang the DJ's first post is just digression from and avoidance of the actual issue at hand. Is this a forum where ideas and opinions can be expressed or just a chat-room for a few m8s?
ca_gere
Nonsense. Hang the DJ made a reasonable response to the original post: Which wasn't taken up by anyone on here, Em.. I did, retroactively, when I said:I wouldn't quite put 'The Homeless' on the same social tribe level as 'Skaters'.Meaning the comparison in treatment of the two groups is unfair because one is a huge social problem and the other is just people with a common hobby. It's like comparing Refugees with Goths or something... They don't merit the same sensitive treatment. This thread is silly and I do agree there is a certain level of cliquery, as is the case all over the internet, but if you're gonna get all annoyed at least consider all the posts (I know you're referring to the later posts but you still sound as if you're anry at this whole site) otherwise you're as guilty of generalisation as the people you're attacking. I liked the patronising followup post where homeless people, deemed worthy by you guys were photographed giving a thumbs up whilst wearing Kaplankkapow teeshirts. Here if you wanna seeI'm sorry i have inspired so much hate in you, maybe you should concentrate on honing the craft of walking past homeless in your Nike SB Dunks, expensive tee made in a sweatshop and jingling the money in your skinny jeans with a sneer on your face. The problem as i am seeing it is that you want to continue to get the boot in about this as you don't feel like there has been closure, but aren't really using any reasoned arguments. Instead choosing to just use insults. So i think really it is you that is the moaning cunt here. Also it is probably worth mentioning that i was tipped off to this post by some of your skateboard pals, who said they actually thought it was a good thing that i had commented in the first place. I still get on fine with Patty as i am sure you are well aware, most people just accept that not everybody agrees about everything all the time. Hang The DJ
Wasn't it stereotypes that started this mis-conception about the homless? Giles, I think you will find that rather than wearing Nike Dunks, I prefer to fund small Thai children by purchasing adidas. As well as this, I enjoy buying T shirts from primark and jeans from matalan, generally a little on the big side for sheer comfiness. You've nae exactly hit the nail on the head with your perception of me, have you? But then, thats just something else you've misinterpreted altogether. I was also far from hurt by this entire thread, the reason my post appeared so late was just because nobody seems to have heard about your little musical mind gathering on this here internet location. All in all, I'm so glad I've found a way to kill 20 minutes of a boring evening by managing to get under your skin so effectively. Really, I'm having a rad time, now what the fuck else should we talk about?
