Make your own food for them. Save a bit of bob and get self satisfaction in the process ... Albeit you may poison them.

Who is it you are catering for ?

Or leave it open until a sensible answer appears. I'm an optimist.

Bit hopeful there, it seems.

In a bid to save the thread, and Chris's faith in the world, I offer this -

Aberdeen Vegetarian Information Centre

G Rodger, Tel: 01224 573034/07713 848663

Email: george_rodger1940@yahoo.co.uk

George might know.

From my limited research so far it seems Kilau and Blue Mountain are both veg-friendly

Indian places can be quite veggish -

Blue Moon 11 Holburn Street 01224 589977

Lahore Karahi 145 King Street 01224-647295

Light of Bengal 13 Rose Street 01224 648224

Manzil 22 - 24 King Street 0800 781 9 781

Sorry for making light of the issue and providing no useful information, a picture of a girl getting her food out of a bin is hardly helpful for finding a vegan restaurant. I only just heard about freegans recently and found it very amusing ... just a nice way of saying bin raker.

My folks are vegetarian and they find it hard to get a good meal in many restaurants, Indians are usually not too bad. But they aren't vegan and can eat butter/cheese etc. Vegan friends of mine find it even harder to find places to eat. I'd maybe approach a couple of places, perhaps cafe 52 being one, and say that you would need a vegan meal and see what they say. If the chef is anything decent they'll be able to throw something together.

Thanks for the replies. We ended up getting a vegan pizza from Pizza Express.

James was delighted with it...

Is that just bread and tomato puree?

Fuck knows. It was a vegan base, vegan sauce and every vegetable under the sun.

I'm not willing to speculate on a public forum.

It has got me into trouble before. I have learned my lesson.
