Extreme

They were OK, but they were all about their drummer - Michael Lee, got kicked out of the band when they found out he had auditioned for the Cult behind their backs, he then went on to play with Page & Plant. He was great, I didn't actually realise til now that he died last year.

Check the size of his snare drum -

Love Extreme. Them and Racer X are the only cock rock I can really stand. Pornograffiti is a decent record, but as Ryan says, the brass on the guitar chops just takes the piss.

However, I really don't like the song More Than Words. Money (In God We Trust) is my favourite. Lyrically, it's incredible:

#MOOOOONEYYYY! My personal savior. MOOOOOONEEEEY! Material love!#

Great band. Stonking guitar tone too.

Toby Jepson from the Little Angels is now the lead singer of the reformed Gun and Extreme reformed last year, though I didn't think the album was that great.

Extreme's 3 sides to every story was a really good rock album, it's overshadowed by Pornograffiti but imo is a far superior salbum, things like Tragic Comic I enjoyed when i was 17 or 18 and still like now :)

I loved Extreme and Little Angels back in the day. I saw Extreme at the Edinburgh Playhouse on Pornograffiti tour and they were pretty damn good live. I always thought Gary might get hired by Queen as new singer but never happened.

Little Angels I saw probably too many times to mention, they had some great songs especially on Don't Pray for Me and Young Gods.

I lived that shit from 88-92, then I hated it, but now I kinda like some of it again, ah nostalgie.

As for Raw Power, how did a drunk magazine art co-ordinater manage to end up on telly. Mick Wall was much better on the 80s Power Hour, on the nascent Sky Channel as was, Blah blah hours of shite about the 80s blah.

i loved them. good shout...

Little Angels were the first band i ever saw live, at the music hall. it was awsome.

I was at that gig, I think I got free tickets for it. They had some sort of promotion with a jeans shop that an 'acquaintance' of mine worked for. I've still got a promo copy of the Young Gods album somewhere. On cassette.

I recall quite liking 'Get the Funk Out' but 'More Than Words' killed any further Extreme appreciation from me...I remember several work colleagues liking Little Angels but it wasn't my cup of tea...I think at that time my Metal appreciation was still limited to AC/DC, Motorhead and early Maiden, with the boundary extending to Guns 'n' Roses...and were Living Colour not around that time? 'Cult of Personality' 'Type' and 'Love Rears It's Ugly Head' are still regular listens...
