Adam Easy Wishes
I am about to become a student again (albeit part-time and with no classes). There are some law books I need to get, but as usual they're mighty expensive. Are there any decent second-hand book websites that students use for this kind of thing..? Alphas
Amazon would be a good bet for second hand course books. I did a course through my work recently and always looked there.

They also sell plenty of other books as well.
Bigsby
There used to be a second hand book shop on King Street. I went in once. They sold old scud mags.
Adam Easy Wishes
They sold old scud mags. Then I'd get nothing done.Well, I'd get something going, but it certainly won't be law (unless the law of wanking is on the course).I hope it is. Bigsby
Going back a while since I was a student, and even further back to first year when I was daft enough to actually buy books, but they used to do second hand books in Blackwell's on the High Street. In 1996.
Lemonade
Oxfam Book Shop on Back Wynd has a lot of things.I remember going into that second hand bookshop opposite Morrisons once and it was full of porn. Basically a whole wall of it. There is a bookshop still there but I don't think it sells scud- ags any more. I've only looked in the window like, I haven't been in, so maybe you need to go in and enquire if he has any "books about jazz".
Bigsby
I guess jazz mags are collectors items now. They'll probably be on Antiques Roadshow soon. Teenagers today don't know they're born with the internet. In my day finding a dog-eared copy of Club International down at the railway line was like winning Euromillions.

Lemonade
I second that. See an earlier story of mine where a soggy copy of "Clean Shaven" was found in a motorway toilet and passed round an entire bus full of schoolchildren. KarmaTsunami
There's a second hand book shop on the Spital near the Red Lion. Just mind and watch the editions you're getting if you're buying second hand. Otherwise Amazon is your best bet and sometimes there are notices of people selling books around campus. Teabags
In my day finding a dog-eared copy of Club International down at the railway line was like winning Euromillions.Fucking yas. I mind finding a jazz mag with a lesbian sex scene between 2 twin sisters out by the sky-walks in B.O.D. It was incredible.

KimyReizeger
I'd say amazon offers the best value in terms of price, and also time saved from not walking around second-hand shops discovering that none of 'em have your book. Other than that you have your college bookshop which is generally to be avoided.

Shaki
I guess jazz mags are collectors items now It was on that premise that I was allowed to keep my collection when I moved in with my girlfriend. "What are these? Get them out of my house!""They're...""Ewww, you don't really like that sort of stuff do you?""No, they're.....""Look, if we've got a problem in that area of our relationship we need to talk about it""No, no it's not that!" "Well?!" "You remember that nest egg I told you about? The stuff I could sell if things got really tough for us......." :]
