I saw Jilted Generation over the summer, and having also seen the Prodigy a few times live, have to say that they put on a very authentic show.

Full live band with electronics, guitar and drums and 2 excellent frontmen who really know how to work the crowd like Keith and Maxim from The Prodigy.

Looking forward to this as i don't think The Prodigy have ever played Aberdeen?

See you next Thursday!

Jilted Generation, the World's only live tribute to The Prodigy bring what promises to be an explosive live show to The Forum in Aberdeen on Thursday 22nd October.

The band was formed in 2005 by fellow Prodigy devotees Jason Shorthouse and Eddie Fitzwilliam who respectively take on the roles of Maxim and Keith Flint in Jilted Generation.

The brains behind the Midlands-based tribute are provided by producer Mark Hall who takes on the role of Prodigy leader Liam Howlett. Armed with laptops and synthesizers, Hall blasts out the twisted loops and electronics that are the Prodigy's hallmark.

The live band is supplemented by Sean Porno on guitar duties alongside drummer Robin Power.

The main goal of Jilted Generation is to provide the full on Prodigy expereince, to look and sound as authentic as they possibly can, meticulous attention to detail is paid, from costumes to equipment and, of course, recreating the music to a note-perfect standard. Even former Prodigy live guitarist Gizz Butt said his guest appearances with the band was "Like having a flashback!"

The event is being promoted by Shetland-based promoters, A Northern Soul, who in the absence of a suitable venue in Shetland, are trying their luck in Aberdeen.

Doors for the show open at 8pm and tickets are available from One Up Records in Belmont Street priced at 10 + booking fee.
