Old Gold
It's a shame that Feelings doesn't make good on it's rad intro. The title track is totally the pop-punk Electric Funeral though. The Offspring are very good at intros. They should have gone into stoner rock or something.
Jaaakkkeee
New Offspring song came on Kerrang the other day. I haven't been able to sit through the youtube video. But with the controller out of reach I just watched it. It's hideous.
The Milner
The Offspring - Americana. Was listening to this in the card the other day and it's truly amazing. "Goodbye my friend you've messed up again. You're going to prison, you're off to the pen!"What a brilliant album that was, shame they are so shit now a days. Woodsinho
Agreed. I'm ridiculously excited about going to see them both in November.
Alkaline
After discussions about how awesome Smash and Ixnay on the Hombre were with Stroopy and Woodsinho yesterday i have been listening to the Offspring a lot today, and Pennywise, just cause.
Soda Jerk
Heard the new Pennywise record, the one with the chap from Ignite instead of Jim?I was never that big on Pennywise, but the new record is totally boss. The new vocalist totally kills it. Jim's vocals always seemed a bit tame for how fast the music was.

Not heard the new one yet though, will have to give it a spin.
Soda Jerk
I agree, especially as he got older. Land of The Free? onwards was quite poor, I thought. Full Circle is pretty raging.New one is good though. I listened to it expecting to totally hate it, but I was rocking out. I felt like I wanted to go skateboarding down huge flights of steps. Rad. Paranoid Android
It has some banging tracks on it, but it also has some total garbage on it too. Mostly pretty Fly, get a Job and Feelings. They are all pretty awful. The rest is rocking as hell. Have You Ever totally nails it, and Pay The Man, especially when the ROCK kicks in. So good.TRUTH! Murrr
Americana is a total gangster of an album. Such mad riffs for a punk band. I got it on cassette when I was 12 years old, played the shit out of it until it broke, then bought the CD years later and played the shit out of it until that broke too. Pay the Man is a song I can put on at any time on any day and enjoy. See that bit where the Eastern-sounding section subsides and that ridiculous, gargantuan riff kicks in? Outrageous. It's the best song. Still love Americana and Have You Ever too.Smash and Ixnay were bangers too. I'd completely forgotten how many stonking tunes The Offspring had. Thanks, thread. delboy
my own ropey poorly recorded badly sung tunes bashed out with a synth, drum machine and whatever I could find to bang on from the early 90's... been cleaning them up (although some of these turds are literally impossible to polish!) and sticking them on the laptop. Soda Jerk
Since the Offspring have been mentioned, I've realised the new Pennywise record with Zoli on vocals sounds quite alot like The Offspring before they started writing weird novelty singles. scottyboy
I was also listening to the awesome Americana recently, No Brakes is probably favourite. And The Kids Aren't Alright.Feelings is a sort of parody-cover, no?
Soda Jerk
Man Or Astroman? are back. Easily the best Sci-Fi and B-movie themed instrumental Surf band there is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APqXkqJv88c

Lemonade
Super Furry Animals. Completely forgot about this band, but spun "Rings Around The World" and "Phantom Power" this week. Two terrific albums that capture a band at their creative prime IMO.
