Guest idol_wild
Slanted & Enchanted is overwhelmingly proud to present an evening of unrivaled experimental sonic beauty in an intimate and peaceful environment.Trespassers WilliamTrespassers William on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music DownloadsFormed in Seattle in 1997, Trespassers William have gone from strength to strength in those 12 years. Having released debut album "Anchor" in 1999, 2004 saw them release the follow-up, "Different Stars" on Bella Union and, more recently, they have released the "Natural Order Of Things" EP on Gizeh Records (home to Her Name Is Calla, Glissando and Sleepingdog, amongst others).Although frequently labelled "shoegaze" (helped in no small part to their divine cover of Ride's "Vapour Trail"), there is a little more nuance to Trespassers William's sound, with their delicate layers of heavily reverbed guitar and electronics. Come and allow yourself to submerge into their soothing and ethereal ambient dream-folk.Their elegant and sophisticated sound has seen them tour with such luminaries as Explosions in the Sky, Damien Rice and Broken Social Scene. Their music has also featured in several TV shows, such as The O.C., Buffy the Vampire Slayer and One Tree Hill."Singer Anna-Lynne Williams has one of those crystal-clear voices made up of shyness, loneliness and quiet despair, while her band dream up the kind of space country that might have sound tracked 'Twin Peaks: The Comedown Years'". -NME "...her voice is immediately lovable and her inconsolable world-weariness completely convincing. Moving, even. Each song unfolds through a swathe of reverb and allows Anna-Lynne acres of space to express her woes with quiet dignity. File alongside Red House Painters, another band all too aware of the terrifying beauty of sadness." - Rock SoundFor fans of: Red House Painters, Azure Ray, Low, Slowdive.GlissandoGLISSANDO on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music DownloadsThis will be the Leeds outfit's third appearance in Aberdeen, following a Stars of the Lid support show and a headline show in 2008. Fusing their love of classical and ambient music, Glissando have perfected their art. The core of the music comes from Elly May Irving's haunting vocals and brooding piano, and Richard Knox's icy (yet somehow warm) and calming guitar. This tour date will see Glissando with an extended line-up to augment their sonic core, so expect strings, additional guitar and bass. For fans of: Gregor Samsa, Stars of the Lid.The Kays LavelleThe Kays Lavelle on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music DownloadsBorn in Dundee but now residing in sunny Leith, the delectable Kays Lavelle return to Aberdeen to perform their own brand of brooding and melancholic slowcore, combining the textural nous of Sigur Ros, the knowing arrangements of Wilco, and the soothing darkness of Low.The Kays Lavelle will also feature an extended line-up for this show, which will help pave the way for a sonic depth adding warmth and serenity, which will leave you feeling spellbound, comforted and nourished. For fans of: The Album Leaf, Wilco and Sigur Ros.Saturday 3rd October 2009Cellar 35, Aberdeen8pm / 6 advance or 8 on doorTickets: WeGotTickets - Your Online Box Office or from One Up

Good music, good crowd, good times.I would like to pay a special thanks to Yogi and Wirey from One Up who helped me alot with this one.
