I'm going with "Cortez the Killer" by Neil Young. It's a lot more understated than some of the stuff mentioned in this threat, but it's got a lovely lead guitar line and it really sets the pace and tone for the rest of the track. And the song's ace, too.

"Debonair" by The Afghan Whigs; perfect blend of sleaze and sinisterness, and what a bassline.

"Jack the Ripper" by Morrissey. I'm not a massive fan of the artist, but I really love the way this badboy starts.
