And 'Back for Good' was actually written by the Bee Gees, but Gary was allowed to claim it as his own. In exchange, Take That's last single was a cover of the Bee Gees' 'How Deep Is Your Love'. Allegedly...

That is a total lie. He was sacked from Metallica - he didn't quit. And it wasn't because hetfield kicked his dog. Their was rumour that he kicked Hetfield's dog' date=' but that wasn't the reason he was sacked.

Harry Shearer is the name of the guy who does the voice of Mr Burns. He also does LOADS more Simpsons characters.

--> The oldest piece of written music ever found is from 408 B.C. The music was sung by a choir in an ancient Greek play called Orestes which was written by Euripides.

--> Layne Staley is featured on The Faculty soundtrack, as part of the "Class of '99" performing a version of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)."

--> Classical musicians are more likely to go deaf from their music than rock musicians, because of the extremely high notes played on violins and violas on a regular basis.

--> Elvis Presley scored 18 Number One hits in the U.S., while The Beatles racked up 25. Bing Crosby had 38.

--> The Beach Boys recorded the original version of "Little Honda", but didn't release it as a single because Brian Wilson didn't think the song had the potential to become a hit. A cover of the song, which featured studio musicians Glen Campbell, Richie Podolor and Hal Blaine, was credited to a constantly changing touring group called The Hondells who took the song into the Top Ten in 1964.

--> In the early 1960s, Frank Zappa appeared on Steve Allens TV show, performing a "bicycle concerto", plucking the spokes and blowing through the handlebars.
