Do they hunt down prospective pseudo-foodies come un-self-conscious, self aggrandizing pricks and just ask them if they fancy it? (Not saying that's your dad. In fact, that's maybe why he declined, coz he's got an ounce of dignity)Literally no-one comes off well in that show. That's precisely why I enjoy it of course, but to me it seems a lot of embarrassment to go through for a 1 in 5 chance of winning a measly grand.
