Yaldy! I really liked Bavarian Fruit Bread, so this news has left me chuffed to bits.

Mazzy Star frontwoman Hope Sandoval has teamed up with My Bloody Valentine's Colm O'Ciosig on a forthcoming album.

Their band, Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions, will release their sophomore effort, 'Through The Devil Softly', on September 1 in the US. It will be their first album since their 2001 debut 'Bavarian Fruit Bread'.

The new album features 11 tracks and was recorded in Northern California and Ireland. It continues the band's "laid-back, slowcore sound," according to a band statement.

Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions plan to announce the dates of an autumn North American tour in the coming weeks, as well as UK and European shows to follow.
