Le Stu
I'm trying to give up coffee because I find it makes me angry. Also, giving up the standard Scottish cuppa as I need to stop eating sugar. So, I got some Clipper brand green teabags out of the supermarket and they seem quite fine. I've had white tea before which is also very dry.How do you like your tannins? Shaki
Good for ye too BBC NEWS | Health | Tea 'healthier' drink than waterI like yer basic tea, well brewed (sat in a cup of boiling water for 5 mins untouched) wi a splash o milk. I also dabble in exotic teas but only when plundered from hotel room hospitality trays. A wee cup o Camomile before bed. Lovely.
neepheid
I used to be well into fancy teas - a malty, robust Assam, a sharp Ceylon, Earl Grey (no milk!), but i'm pretty easy going these days, as long as it's got some flavour then it's cool with me. I don't get people who dunk it in and out quick as that - what's the point?
Pierre Von Mondragon
Tea is the fucking best. Milk n 2'n a half, fuck the purists.
Le Stu
Good for ye too BBC NEWS | Health | Tea 'healthier' drink than water"Also, a cup of tea contains fluoride, which is good for the teeth," she added.Er, yikes. I had no idea tea contained fluoride!Good for you if you just gargle...
Gus Chamber
Tea is the fucking best. Milk n 2'n a half, fuck the purists.Agreed, none of that silly tea.And there's nothing worse than someone making you a shit cup of tea. It's simple to make a good cup and I've never disappointed in the tea-making stakes.Teabag and sugar (sugar is optional) in the cup, boil the water then pour in. Swill the teabag around until the tea is nice and dark then give it The Magic Squeeze at the side of the cup with spoon before getting rid of the teabag. Then, AND ONLY THEN, add the milk. Now there's no excuse for making a shit cup of tea.PS - NEVER make more than one cup of tea with the same teabag. It's minky and makes me think of Glaswegians. Now, where's my fucking tea? Skamikazee
My father's girlfriend got me drinking Rooibos last time I went to visit them out in South Africa. It's delicious on its own but even better with a drop of honey.Rooibos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Diesel
My usual cuppa is lemon (or Russian) tea - just "normal" tea with a fairly decent-sized slice of lemon and I sweeten the deal with Splenda. It that's not available, then tea with milk, no sugar or sweetener. ca_gere
There's a maroccan guy at my work who makes the best tea ever. He just whacks a bunch of mint leaves in a cup and lets it steep in boiling water. adds a bit of sugar and Robert's your mother's brother. Not strictly tea in the sense it's not made with tea leaves as such but fit rare it is. I'm hooked.
KarmaTsunami
A cup of tea is the best thing ever. Except when my Mum makes it. She puts the milk in before the water. She doesn't make tea for me anymore.
Pierre Von Mondragon
Camomile is made from daisys, thats right, fucking DAISYS!
Le Stu
I've got some ginseng tea as well. Doesn't seem to do much for me and it tastes like potato water.Except that ONE time when I got real fucking high. Felt really bubbly, like I was a can of soft drink. Gus Chamber
Except when my Mum makes it. She puts the milk in before the water. Scootray
I'm one of those dunk in and out straight away. I drink loads of tea, but I couldn't give a rat's hoop if it's strong or weak cos I never know the difference anyway.Except for that Extra Strong stuff that my mum bought the other day. It has a slight tinge to it.
scottyboy
I used to drink all the Twinning's speciality stuff, especially Assam. Medium strength, no sugar (foul). I used to drink loads of herbal or fruit "teas" as well. Didn't care much for roibos though.
Old Gold
I'm a Lapsang suchong fan, although it's more of a winter thing.
Le Stu
I love iced tea in weather like this too. I'd like to figure out how to make it American diner style... anyone know how?
Jeanette
Just normal tea for me... with some milk. I used to add sugar, however, I've decided it is no longer a requirement!!
Bigsby
Tetley for me, no milk or sugar. I also can never tell the difference if it's strong or weak.
Mora-Treat-Guru
Mainly drink green tea and Rooibos, lovely stuff. 'Normal' tea has to be strong, brewed for at least 6 mins, and a sliver of milk, none of this full udder nonsense.
Le Stu
I favour PG Tips and it must be a strong brew!! And just a splash of milk.Anything but Lipton. Worst tea known to humanity.

Pierre Von Mondragon
And as for those pseudo-teas, they aren't fit to bear the T word. If I wanted a fruit-scented, cardboard flavoured cup of fuck all, I would ask for it.As for Lady Fucking Grey......Bergamot my arse.
Monster Zero
This is the most heinous of incorrect tea-making errors. Some folk insist on milk before water in coffee, they reckon it makes it taste better.Cobblers.Milk first in coffee does make it taste better for instant coffee, certainly for me.I can't understand how folk can make tea putting milk in first, it just doesn't happen, I tried it once after seeing someone else do it and I was confused. I had to stand and squeeze the teabag to get any sort of colour into it.

It's only when the teabag is out that you know how much milk to add.
