Johnny Mac
Why can't I find this anywhere? Was it an internet only release or something?
RossP
You had to sign up for a pre-order, where you got the cd early in addition to having your name in the sleeve notes.Very nicely packaged; but like Dave I haven't had the chance to listen to it. ben_1903
I haven't heard it yet. Can't wait. Idlewild get a bad rep these days as past it from some quarters; on the contrary their last album was great. They have matured well like a fine wine, and are particularly excellent live. Also Roddy is sexy as fuck.
Guest
Idlewild are my favourite band of all time. Was delivered to my Mum's house. Can't wait to hear it.

get lost
Havent heard it, is it rocking or folky?
ben_1903
dunno, i hope its a good mix. A very underrated album, and in my opinion their 2nd best is warnings promises, which is a good mixture...so im hoping for a blend.
Murray
It's a really great record! There's a couple of folky songs on there, but mainly it's a massive pop record. It sounds like they are having alot of fun. The single 'Readers and Writers' is a hit in my eyes, it's like Idlewild meets Flaming Lips, win. A few moments on the album remind of Springsteen which is never a bad thing.x

jon
Surely it can't have escaped everyone's attention that the album is total and utter balls from start to finish? Apparently some of the band members are none too pleased with it either.
chris h
Cracking review! I had almost no desire to listen to this album, and now I have even less.
