Your Best of the Solo Beatles Album

Recommended Posts

Just for fun, what would you have on a compilation of The Beatles various solo efforts?

I can't be arsed working out times and stuff, so lets say you can have 16 songs. Each Beatle must be represented with at least one song. I've decided to make my one "realistic ie commercial, but feel free to choose obscure album tracks if you like:

1. Photograph - Ringo

2. My Sweet Lord - George

3. Maybe I'm Amazed - Macca

4. It Don't Come Easy - Ringo

5. Jealous Guy - Lennon

6. What Is Life - George

7. Live and Let Die - Macca

8. Mother - Lennon

9. Jet - Macca

10. Got My Mind Set on You - George

11. Band on the Run - Macca

12. Watching the Wheels - Lennon

13. Any Road - George

14. No More Lonely Nights - Macca

15. Isn't It a Pity - George

16. Imagine - Lennon

So come on Beatles fans, what would your selection be?

Tough decisions. I've gone mainly for a Paul selection, not only because he has the most to choose from but because McCartney and Ram are the two best solo albums of The Beatles. However, I havent listened to All Things Must Pass in a while so I probably could have picked another off that...I've seperated it to side one and two but think it might actually qualify as a double album

Side One

1. Instant Karma - John

2. Too Many People

3. I'd Have You Anytime - George

4. Maybe I'm Amazed

5. Heart of The Country

6. Tomorrow

Side 2

7. Love - John

8. It Don't Come Easy - Ringo

9. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey

10. Silly Love Songs

11. Band on The Run

12. Give Me Love - George

13. Working Class Hero - John

14. Jenny Wren

15. Happy Xmas - John

16. The Backseat of My Car

I used to have a Beatles bootleg called 'Renaissance Minstrels Volume 4' which was a solo best-of set,....but I sold it, as I'm not a great fan of the solo stuff.

I love Prince and the Fabs....and Check My Machine plus a few other Macca Bs like Flying To My Home

Lots of good suggestions in the first couple of posts. My comp would be heavy on Ram, Band On The Run, Plastic Ono Band, Imagine and All Things Must Pass with maybe something from Ringo or one of the early singles... prob It Don't Come Easy. But at present I can't be arsed.:gringo:

I'd just have 'Got my mind set on you' 12 times... with various remixes of the song.

It's fucking brilliant.

I was gonna say the exact same thing. Although, I doubt I'd have remixes. Just that one song over and over.
