More on that Shane MacGowan gig

Hopefully this won't turn into another big flame thread, but I spotted this in the EE and I thought those that were in the other thread might want to see it (the thread was closed before this was in the paper). Shane and The Dubliners have confirmed that they didn't know anything about it.

Today a spokeswoman for Shane MacGowan and a member of The Dubliners today said they did know anything about the show.

A spokeswoman for the Pogues frontman said: Shane would probably want to apologise to his fans for any disappointment caused.

But he has been in America with the Pogues since last Thursday.

The veteran fiddle player and manager of The Dubliners John Sheahan added: We were never approached about that at all.
