Soda Jerk
Blink 182 at Braehead Arena. Motion City Soundtrack and someone else supporting. Good ol' 2004. I still have a bit of a soft spot for MCS. It's the singers voice. It's girly, but he knows it. He doesn't care.

Moose
Red Hot Chili Peppers in SECC. 2001 maybe? They were supported by Mars Volta which was pretty cool. The chilis were pretty good actually. Played some pish from By The Way but there were plenty of tunes from BSSM and albums even before that. Swingin' Ryan
I'm totally jealous of the Manics at Music HallDitto. I had to wait for years after I got into them to see them due to a variety of exams and cancelled gigs. I bought a t-shirt which said "All Rock'n'Roll is Homosexual" which I thought was hilarious at the time...That t-shirt is amazing. My current coveted Manics tee is the one with the girl holding the AK47 and the caption 'this is the only answer to rape'. I bid on ebay for it recently but it went for like thirty quid! Bigsby
The Krankies - Elgin Town Hallcirca 1983Beat that.I saw them at The Capitol around the same time, but I'm not convinced that counts as a gig so I'll say Prince at Parkhead in 1992 instead. TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
My first proper gig was going to see Blondie at the exhibition centre in 98/99 (?)...
Mr Owl PhD
Pfftt....I'll see your Krankies, and raise you Crackerjack (with the Krankies as guests) @ HMT, circa 1981.I also went to see Crackerjack being recorded, probably around the same time. So I guess my first gig was actually The Krankies, Chas and Dave and Dexy's Midnight Runners.
Alan Cynic
My first was the infamous Siouxsie & the Banshees gig at the Capital 07/09/79, when Morris & McKay fucked off.Support from the Scars & the Cure (who ended up doing two sets). While queuing to get my 2.25 ticket refunded heard Severins bass rumble & rushed back to see Siouxsie, Steve, Robert Smith & Lol Tolhurst do a 20 min version of the lords prayer I enjoyed that night.Siousxie 'swapped' a guitar for a badge afterwards.....some fuss in the music press afterwards.
