James Broonbreed
That place is closed for renovations for the next month or so. Cool thinking.
Paranoid Android
Pointless and cringey swearing and swigging directly from the bottle that he then uses to cook for customers among other things. Just 'being wacky'. He seems an intelligent enough sort deep down, mind you. I liked him. Some of the "pumping" guy on belmont street was the most embarrassing to me. Adam Easy Wishes
Oh God yeah, the Aberdeen one generally was pretty bad - I don't know if that's just because I'm from ABZ tho.
ca_gere
The sweary chef I found pretty annoying too. That rough Glasgow charm act wears thin. There's just no need to be so aggressive all the time. I quite like the presenter, she has the posh naive act down. It's a shame that a country so abundant in great food has such a bad cuisine/food culture. My ex's dad is a fisherman and he says that 90% of the best stuff he catches goes abroad because Scottish people dinna like things like langoustines and monk fish. Nice to see places like Musa pop up more and more though.
Paranoid Android
I didn't think there was anything aggressive about him. Came across as friendly and fun to me. Langoustines, monk fish and all that seafood shite can fuck off. One mince pie supper please.
James Broonbreed
There can be only one langoustine.
Paranoid Android
Life would probably be much easier if I liked seafood.
ca_gere
I didn't think there was anything aggressive about him. Came across as friendly and fun to me. Each to their own. He definitely seemed to be hamming up the 'im a mad bastard' thing to me, which I found annoying.

ca_gere
Thread revival. Ate at a Japanese friend's house the other day. It's amazing how different their tastes are and how they view food. E.g. An example of a thrown-together quick meal for her was: boiled rice, avocado, lemon juice, soy sauce, mayonnaise, all mixed up, topped with spring onions. So tasty I've since made it twice at home. Added some ground chicken one time.
Adam Easy Wishes
That sounds way better than Microchips and a Rustlers' burger.
ca_gere
Not if the microchips were bought from the vending machine in lava.
Woodsinho
That's probably decent but I just threw together a two egg omelette with chopped salami and cheese served with potato waffles. I think the Japanese could learn a thing or two from me.
ca_gere
I like dishes so simple that merely naming the dish gives you the recipe.

This is vital information.Only been once but it was lovely, had to wait a little bit but got a free taco for my troubles (GBOLATB), I think it might be the guy who used to sell them on George Street Edited February 13, 2015 by Gypsum_Fantastic
James Broonbreed
Gearge street burrito; Is that not some sort of euphemism?
