Yeah it might not be a framus, it just says rolyford on it and Framus is the only company to make a guitar called rolyford

Nope my friend, i checked with Framus and they said, and i quote:

Framus never built a guitar called Rolyford.

Don't mind you being ignorant, but don't try to sell it as a Framus when it is, quite clearly, a cheap copy made of recycled toilet rolls...

Back to what i said..

"It's vaguely playable but it sounds awful and it doesn't actually say framus on it, it says rolyford and this is the only piece of information i could find about it, it's probably the same guitar..

http://www.guitarsite.com/database/G...sages/74.shtml"

So i don't understand why you think i'm being ignorant seeing as how i've told everyone it's unplayable and this is the only info i could find on the guitar

Just thought I'd mention that I got the Rolyford back to good health, and have used it occasionally over the last year, and am making it the main guitar on my next CDr.

You can hear a rough mix of an instrumental called '2 lovers walk' here...

I love it when a plan comes together.

Have you got a pickup for it or are you just mic-ing it up for recording work?

I stuck on a cheap contact mike, but it sounded crap (I tend to favour ones I can run through the strap peg hole, but the 'f-holes' meant I couldn't get one in), so I'm just mic-ing it with an old Shure unidyne at the moment.

It's got heavier strings than I normally favour, but sounds all the better for them, and I'm getting used to it.
