PRS S.E series guitars would also be worth a look for that sort of budget. If it's something with single coils you want then I second the suggestion of a Mexican Strat/Tele, however if you hunt ebay you might even manage to find an American Standard series for that sort of price. Thornybank Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share Posted December 26, 2008 Yep - Clean, White American Standard is 450.Black/gold Les Paul Studio is 550.Both worth the difference - if you have the cash......but the others are worth every bean.You may find the cheesy pickups/electrics in an Epiphone don't deliver the presence and power that you expect....
