Pet Hates!

A couple of weeks ago itunes crashed when I was attempting to transfer a couple of albums I'd downloaded directly with the itunes store thing on my ipod touch which caused me to lose one and a half of the albums. All that was left on my ipod was the handful of tracks at the end of the last album that was being transferred to my PC with no sign of the rest on either device and no way of getting them back. THE SYSTEM WORKS!

I'd use Winamp but it doesn't recognise the ipod touch when I connect it, the bastard.

I use iTunes simply to drag and drop. I don't store music on my computer, otherwise it makes my Virus Scan take hours. If I was using it for more than dragging on dropping onto my iPod, then I'd probably burst into flames with rage, since it so slow, and hogs memory like a million Internet Explorers.

The software I had for my Creative Zen Touch was ace. Infact, my Creative Zen Touch was just pure ace. The sound was just billions better. I also liked how I could select a band, and then press random, and it would just play that band on random, and not everything on my player. That was handy. iPod won't let me do that.

The ipod really is crap sound wise! I kinda wish I had bought a second hand 5th gen one on ebay, those are meant to sound really good, but I got a brand new 160gb.

The equalisers are all pretty poor. They are all too bass heavy and lacking in mids, or too much mids and lacking in bass. Sound wise.... if my pspgo had more than 32gb memory, I'd bloody carry that in my pocket, even though it's bigger. It sounds 10x better through the same headphones I use (a fairly high end sennheiser set)

I drag and drop my music in iTunes to my iPhone/iPod.

I never notice it taking up much memory, consider I play music through it while also playing games full screened. I even have drivers to map the play/skip buttons etc on my keyboard so that they're mapped to iTunes.

It never misses tracks when I'm importing stuff.

I'm very anal about files I have on my Computer. They're all seperated into folders by album, and all have ID3 tags done correctly so that I can keep track of them easily through the iTunes browser.

This iPost was shit.

I'm able to do this on mine - go to an artist, go to all songs, hit play, then press the circle button in the middle three times until something like "off/songs/albums" comes up, then scroll along to songs and it'll shuffle all the songs under that artist.

I had a Zen too and my buttons went the same way = perma-shuffle.

I wish my Zen still worked, but unfortunately it was the battery that bit the dust. It got to the point where it might play for 30 minutes max (sometimes as little as 5 mins) before completely dying and needing recharging. I am happy enough with my ipod really though, especially since I don't have to dick about with the completely useless itunes.

People who are militantly pro-PC or pro-Mac or anti-PC or ...etc

It's a fucking computer. Get over it. We're all just looking at porn anyway/bought each for our own personal preferences so it doesn't actually affect anyone else.

That's exactly the kind of opinion I'd expect to come from someone with such an obvious pro-PC/Mac* bias.

*delete PC or Mac as appropriate

Once you go Mac, you never go back...

It's just weird that people get so angry over what computer someone uses, can't think of anything more trivial.
