Richie
A little late with this review, but here's what I made of the fabulus IMP night at the Carmelite (top venue by the way, let's have more there!)Culturedeluxe - Live Review - James Yorkston / The Pictish Trail and Rozi Plain / Lazy Sheepdog - Aberdeen Carmelite Hotel, 27th November 2008Cheers! offramp
BrilliantThanks very much.Three points.1) Johnny performed Yellow Fly at our Ivor Cutler tribute a couple of years back, so he has done it before, just not with Rozi. I've got an MP3 of it somewhere.2) Apparently, James doesn't like being called a folk singer, he prefers singer-songwriter. 3) At first the Athletes weren't going to be here, then they were, then we decided we couldn't fit them on the stage anyway. Sorry!
Graeme
3) At first the Athletes weren't going to be here, then they were, then we decided we couldn't fit them on the stage anyway. Sorry! But I think they will be there when James plays at The Lemon Tree next May.

Astronick
Excellent review Richie; you really captured the atmosphere of what sounds like a pretty unique gig. I sadly missed it due to being offshore but hopefully I can catch the Lemon Tree gig that Graeme mentions above.
