BUMP!!

Heres a few reviews of some of the bands:

Kashmir Red: REVIEW BY MUSIC-NEWS UNISIGNED

Kashmir Red; a cracking name but what of the music? Well if you can imagine a punky Oasis infused with Kasabian with a sprinkling of The Libertines your on the right track and what tracks they are. 'King and the Queens' is a high tempo no frills punk rock assault with fantastic lyrics and cracking melodies.

'RNR' is another fast paced rocker that sounds like Ocean Colour Scene on speed; vocalist proving his voice has power and soul not dissimilar to Kings of Leon Front man

Unlike some of their contemporaries Kashmir Red manage to avoid the pitfalls of sounding exactly like their peers, except that is for 'High Times and Orange Juice' which sounds a little to like the poncy Indie these chaps despise. Thankfully the song is saved in the last quarter by a fantastic solo.

Both 'Wasted Lake' and 'Falling on a Monday' are the kind of songs most bands can only dream about recording. The former is an anthemic monster that sounds like the kind of music that could fill stadiums. The maturity of the music is astounding, this will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end, if they aren't your either dead or so drunk you cant feel feelings anymore. The latter is a more haunting downbeat organ backed that is no less powerful. A melancholy pop song full of heart and not a jangly guitar in sight.

If you're looking for music akin to splitting atoms listen to Spastic Ink. If you want good time rock n roll that is better leagues beyond your average pub rock band then Kashmir Red will deal you a cracking hand.

The Locals: News Of The World Review

THE LOCALS, Tunnels, Aberdeen

THIS next ones no bad, if I do say so myself, declares singer Martin Brown, before launching into the raucous Shes My Enemy.

This is indie-rock with more than a firm nod towards Oasis and Supergrass backed up with a lethal bombardment of intense Led Zep-inspired riffing from lead guitarist Danny Innes.

Theyre a tight outfit who play songs to get the dancefloor moving. Well-crafted racks like Debt Ridden and Last Night sound like they could have come from The Zutons or The Fratellis.

And after winning a recent Battle Of The Bands, the five-piece are looking forward to the final in Liverpool next month. On this evidence theyre obviously psyched up for it. The Locals are on the move it could be your neighbourhood next.

Don't think i'm going now, which is a shame, Milburn are quality as re most of the other bands that you will include in the DJ set.

I wouldn't normally do this but Justin and Steve hi-jacked my thread ;)

Cedric is clearly coming to Exposure....
