Steve Temple
I got a new ukulele in the summer, but still haven't been able to tune it. When I try to tune it to what I think the pitch is, the keys turn back by themselves. When I try to tuning it to a lower pitch, the strings are too slack. Larsen B told me that there is a substance you can get to rub on the keys of a fiddle to stop them turning automatically. Does anybody know anymore about this, or how else to solve my dilemma? Swingin' Ryan
I had the exact same problem with my ukulele. I just took a small screwdriver to the screws holding in each peg and tightened it right up and that stopped it.
flossie suvara
The substance you're referring to is called "Peg Paste" - I've never had to use it myself, but I'd be surprised if Top Note on Crown Street, or Bruce Millers don't stock it.RegardsFlossie
Bigsby
"peg paste", ha, sounds like something else if you ask me, fnarr-fnarr.
