Scottish Culture & Traditions have a lively series of workshops planned for 2008-2009, kicking off in November with two Saturdays of fiddle, guitar, flute, banjo and mandolin, led by some of the leading exponents of folk music from Scotland and beyond.

Workshop Series No 1: Saturday 8th November

Balkan Fiddle with Jani Lang

Fingerstyle Guitar with Martin MacDonald

Flute with Kenny Hadden

Workshop Series No 2: Saturday 15th November

Banjo/Mandolin with Tim Jones & Kevin MacLeod

Flatpicking Guitar with John Carnie

World Fiddle with Laura Lockyer

Workshops will be held at Queen's Cross Church (NOT The Music Club as previously advertised) with the after workshop session at nearby Dizzy's Bar and Restaurant. Places are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment.

There are still spaces left on both Jani (fiddle) and Martin's (guitar) workshops... it's a great opportunity to learn something different in a small group environment. There's a performance/session opportunity at the end of the day in the pub over the road. More info on their website here too
