Plenty of proper good action sequences, Daniel Craig can act the part properly, and even though you can see some of the twists coming from a mile off, it doesn't hinder your enjoyment of the film. Craig was good as Bond again and Judy Dench was fine as M.It just didn't feel like a Bond film to me when I was watching it. Felt like I was watching Bourne again.When I pay to see a Bond film I want to at least vaguely feel like the protagonist is him! I think it's good that they got away from the later Brosnan stuff when he had a gadget for everything (I.e. that ridiculous invisible car) and he had too many cheesy one liners. however this doesn't feel like it's Bond at all.Casino still gave the distinct feeling it was Bond. With the poker playing and showing him becoming a 'double O' agent. This film just didn't feel right too me.Don't get me wrong though, still a good film. Just not as good as casino and not really a Bond film in my opinion.Also thought the new Bond girl was rubbish, just looked like she didn't give a fuck. I also liked the car chases, and I really hate car chases.I thought the ending with the flaming building was a bit of a let-down though. The plot was slightly strange too, Dominic Greene's evil plan was briefly touched upon rather than being central to the story. Daniel Craig is quality. Not sure if it's better than Casino Royale, but it's well worth seeing if you've not already. I too am happy with this latest direction for the Bond franchise. The story was fairly decent, but jumped around a lot.The action scenes should have been amazing, but were so poorly edited that it was just disorientating.Both bond girls were smoking, but never really got a proper entrance or scene.The baddies were so shit it was unreal, the main guy was just a corrupt businessman and bent politicians are a fact of life.No gadgets, except a shitty super-computer in M's bathroom!Overall it could (and should) have been brilliant but you get the feeling they're trying to make it too realistic, especially with the lack of gadgets, cars, EVIL villains, and bikini-clad wifeys everywhere.
