This years goNORTH Festival taking place in Aberdeen on 9th & 10th of June.

goNORTH is a festival for contemporary and cutting edge music of all genres. It highlights the best emerging talent from Scotland and some of the best new contenders from the rest of the UK, Ireland and further a field.

goNORTH 2004 showcases will be focused on Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th June in 6 venues based on Belmont Street in the heart of Aberdeen. There will also be local label showcases over the 2 days by Fat Hippy Records (industry only) and Planet Boo (DR Drakes - Real Shocks, Le Reno Amps + support).

Some of the artists confirmed to play include - Rolan Bolan (Marc Bolans son), Half Cousin (Orkney), Teitur (Faroe Island), Aziz (ex-The Stone Roses), The Needles (Aberdeen) and The Cellers (Aberdeen). For a full list and showcase times please visit www.goevents.info

The goNORTH cd has of the 13 showcasing bands on it which is available from One Up Records on Belmont Street.

goNORTH small but perfectly formedless concerned with debating the ills of the industry and more into putting on quality gigs in the evening. Like those wacky students who try and get 35 of their ilk into a phone box, the entire population of Aberdeen crams into Belmont Street. South by South West similar to Aberdeen but warmer - Is This Music? November 2002
