KarmaTsunami
Midnight Organ Fight is a great album. I have yet to see them as a 4 piece but caught them at the Lemon Tree supporting Twilight Sad and they were ace. I will hopefully catch them at Moshulu
Bradders Centric
Been trying to get hold of Frightened Rabbits The Midnight Organ Fight south of the border without success. Hoping it will become a bit more widly available soon. Listened to some of their songs on their Myspace page and think they are really good. In the NME they were saying that they are really popular in America but not so much here which semed a bit strange. Hopefully they are starting to take off more here now. I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the indie stores too.I did try and pluck up the courage cos I always hate the thought of the shop assistant staring at you blankly! Stupid I know. I did order in Silver Jews' Tanglewood Numbers album so I know I can do it. When I'm next in HMV I'm just gonna go for it *deep breaths*. Jeanette
As much as I love them. It's going to be horrid in the SECC supporting Biffy!! One of these times I just wish it was a random support act plucked from the sky!

The59Sound
I stalk Frightened Rabbit. I've seen them seven times and still haven't had enough.Your FR stalking abilities rival mine. Only I don't stalk FR. Hoho.I'm suitably convinced by what I've heard from this lot so far. I may pick up the album before long, and will definitely check out the Moshulu gig in December. Astronick
Midnight Organ Fight is definitely in the running for album of 2008. Incredible songs and their effortless ability to sound Scottish without descending into trite/twee metaphor is very much welcome. I challenge anyone to resist dancing around your flat/house/under-stairs-cupboard singing the chorus to Head Rolls Off.There is some stuff available on Daytrotter and you can try and import a copy of the live album which, for bizarre reasons, is out in America now, but doesn't appear here until next year.I saw them at Moshulu in September, will be seeing them at Death Cab this Friday and will be catching them again in December...just to be sure... Jeanette
They've got some of their music on the new season of One Tree Hill which is showing in America just now!! It sounded strange obviously because the programme is so very American. But good for them!
KarmaTsunami
This thread made me want to go listen to Frightened Rabbit again. Good job. Thanks for the link to the Daytrotter sessions, I was downloading Alela Diane's stuff earlier from that site.

vega
Not trying to be controversial, I just find them really boring. This is the same as me. Just sits too much in the middle - pleasant but doesn't grab me or owt. I'll persist though. Seen them live, thought it was alright.

The59Sound
They played "The Twist" in exodus last friday.I couldn't believe it.Can't beat moments like that. I like the fact Exodus still occasionally has the ability to surprise me!
Alkaline
Is it so surprising that a DJ in Exodus might play a song by a popular Indie Artist on an Indie night that a vast majority of the clubs goers might like?
