Stroopy121
I'm using an Ashdown Little Bastard. 30W tube head and an ABM210 cab. Though I am considering switching for the VS212 used in the video below. I fucking love that wee head though. xx

Adam Easy Wishes
Wow, interesting. How portable/heavy is the head? This is the head I just bought: http://www.tcelectronic.com/bh250/ And the cab I'm interested in: http://www.thomann.de/gb/kustom_deep_end_210h.htm His point on tone is okay, but I think that you can still get great tone from an inexpensive piece of gear. That's really what I'm after. And like I say, as a bassist my FOH tone is almost every time in the hands of the engineer (fortunately, or unfortunately as the case may be!). colb
I was looking at this guy to build a 2x10 http://www.zillacabs.com but I don't know if it's worth getting one built or just buying a hartke/ashdown etc. cab. Generally i've used combos or standard 4 x 12's in the past. Turns out that Baritone guitar is a total fuckabout to get set up with a decent tone... neepheid
Someone should buy my 4x10. It's super light and super loud and it's super at taking up room in my house right now.

The head is really light and portable - especially by tube amp standards! 11kg according to the datasheets. Really lovely piece of hardware - though definitely less portable and heavier than the ~2kg TC head you have! I read everywhere that the cab makes a shitload of difference, but I can never make it out... but I don't have the best ears! xx

TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I picked up a new "amp" at the weekend, after spending a great deal of time at GuitarGuitar. I was loooking for something loud, clean toned and portable and the Bluguitar Amp 1 beat out everything i tried, including Engl and Mesa Boogie amps. At first i was sceptical due to it looking like a digital modelling multi effects pedal, but it sounds really great. I am looking forward to giving it a good run through at practice on Thursday and gigging on Friday.

Soda Jerk
Sounds mega from that demo. Did you get to try it at air-pushing volumes in the shop?
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I put a big muff through it and cranked it so things shook in the shop. Sounded good. The real test will be with a full band, to see how it can push air.

TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
So i tried the amp 1 at rehearsal tonight and it was beasting. Loads of headroom, barely any noise and it loved my pedals. This amp weighs less than my guitar, super impressed. Plus, i can now unleash ULTRA METAL tones, yaldy. The volume made my DD6 pop open and my guitar's volume knob fly off.
Soda Jerk
Good to hear. The quality of tubeless amplification seems to be getting better and better all the time. Which is good, because tube amps are stupid heavy. Most importantly though, how well does this unit push out a pinched harmonic, on a scale of 1 to
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Most importantly though, how well does this unit push out a pinched harmonic, on a scale of 1 to I unleashed a pretty fearsome pinch out of nowhere on Friday night. There was some guy at the front with a head. When the pinch was over, he didn't have a head, mission accomplished. Very surprised in how articulate the amp 1 is in a live setting. Even though I am playing with what could only be described as a crap load of fuzz, the amp really responded to dynamics in my playing technique*. *pinch harmonics and pick scrapes
James Broonbreed
I accidentally did a hoorin' mean pinch the other day with my mustang. I didn't even try, I think my Rat loves pinching one out autonomously.
neepheid
Am I the only bass player here? Or more accurately am I the only bass player here who gives a monkey's about the gear? Stick this Yamaha SBV500 in your eyeholes because I can't just get a Jazz bass, can I?

crystal20
The band on that date that we're supporting are called Eternal Lord. But Enrapture are playing too who I think are currently Aberdeen's best metal core band. 1
