Graham Knight
Snoop Dogg and some other "modern" artists have licensed some tracks that Johnny Cash cut at Sun Records in Memphis more than 50 years ago.The original recordings were produced by the late Sam Phillips who mixed the output of three microphones onto a single track tape.Click on the link below to listen to samplesof the remixes. The Official Site of Johnny Cash Remixed To my old ears the result of this "remixing" is just a cacophony of noise. Of course it is not a remix at all but really just additions.I hope they leave all the other Sun tracks alone - especially those created by Jerry but I'd be interested to hear how they sound to younger ears. Stripey
yeah those tunes are weak, it just sounds like straight overdubbed drums and bass
FatHand
Quite terrible. Overdubbed badly too.

Bigsby
Not really anything to do with these crappy remixes, but you may wish to have a listen to the excellent Billy Bob Thornton/Earl Scruggs cover of Ring of Fire here:
Alkaline
I quite liked Cable's cover of "Ring Of Fire" from the "Freeze The Atlantic" single.
