framheim
apparently there are not one, but two cutscenes which are close to the 90 minute mark. that's mental! why would you do that in a game?! that's 3 hours of not playing the game! and that's only 2 out of how many in the whole game? tsk. Johnny Mac
Is that actually true?I've heard rumors, but they can't possibly be true.... time will tell.
framheim
Is that actually true?I've heard rumors, but they can't possibly be true.... time will tell.it was quoted from the review in edge on the beebs technology blog so i'm taking that as true. The Kernel Loaf
Konami were actually preventing reviewers such as Gamespot for criticising the cutscene length in their reviews of the game.Fair enough, 90 minutes is ridiculous, but only Metal Gear Solid can pull it off with the whole immersive cinematic experience they are trying to achieve. Teabags
I think one of them (ifg there is more than one) is the end of the game. And to be honest, I would definetely enjoy it, since Metal Gear Solid plays out like a whole movie. There is no way that it wouldn't add to the whole depth and character of the series. I'm trying to decide whether to buy this or GTA IV
Johnny Mac
Get both!Or buy MGS and i'll loan you GTA in exchange for MGS on a weekly rotation
TheTickingTime-Bomb
Metal Gear is all about the cut-scenes and the series relies so heavily on plot/character development that it would be a disappointment to end it (this is the last game to feature Solid Snake/possibly the last game full stop!) as just an action game.I for one am glad that they (Konami) have stayed true to their roots. Captain America
This game is so good! Great story so far and the combat bits are really fun. Also, Lol at Snake eyeing up Naomi, dirty old man.

Sue Denim..
I'm still struggling through Metal Gear Acid 2 on PSP. Not the most popular MG game as it's a card driven game but I'm getting right into it now.

Lucius
I bought a PS3 especially for this game.I'm a fool.It sucks monkey balls.I feel like i have been watching it forever and yet only played it for 20 minutes. This game broke me. I have lost the will to live. I hate games now!I'm crawling back to my Xbox360 in the hope it will forgive me for abandoning.Don't misunderstand im not an M$ fanboy. I love the PS3.But MGS4 can bite me!
