Tonights the night!

Chris Gorman

Glasgow based Chris Gorman tops the bill at the acoustic night with a piano and vocal set. Influenced by the likes of Jeff Buckley, Tom McRae, Radiohead and Aerogramme, Chris has an amazing voice and his songs are fresh with melodies and lyrics that will stay with you for a long time. Chris has supported the likes of Regina Spektor and Craig B from Aerogramme plus he has also done development work with Parlophone Records.

Chris has recently put together a band and filmed a video for his superb song Teargas, which can be seen on his website. His next project will be finishing and promoting his new 6 track EP which is due to be released in the summer. Chris has played a few gigs in the Highlands but although his girlfriend is from Elgin this will be his first trip to Moray and hes looking forward to the experience.

Miss Becca

Miss Becca is a singer-songwriter from Buckie with a wide range of influences from the likes of James Taylor and Bob Dylan through to Paolo Nutini, The Kooks and most recently Amy Macdonald. As well as gigging regularly all over Scotland, last year she performed a live session on BBC Radio Scotlands Highland Caf show and more recently, a session and interview for Red TV (sky channel 186). She also narrowly missed out on a support slot with Amy MacDonald at the latest Rock Against Racism gig, after being one of five short-listed finalists. Currently signed to indie label Spook Records, debut album Red She Said and single Ill Wait for You have recently been released on all major download sites.

His songs play on personal, topical and local issues with a tongue in cheek humour which are delivered with his distinctive strong vocals.

CALLmeBOB

CALLmeBOB are a lively 3 piece pUNK/emo Speyside based band led by former Blue Gum Ears bassist AJ. After a few acoustic jams Scampi and AJ decided to recruit a drummer. Jock was that man. A long spell of writing and jamming followed and then CALLmeBOB were ready to gig. Mixing their influences together they create a sound and image that they, and hopefully the gig going public, appreciate. Using vocal harmonies to their full effect with two lead vocals interacting throughout their songs backed up by metal drumming, ska/pUNK bass and heavy/sweet earthy guitar. The band is planning to record their debut album in the summer and start playing Aberdeen and beyond.
