Roddy Woomble/Kris Drever + Kyte confirmed for Wizard Festival (Aberdeenshire)

Recommended Posts

Two good additions to the line-up to join Supergrass and The Damned.

Also playing so far is: Alabama 3, Proud Mary, Dreadzone, The Amigos, Chris Helme, The Cinematics and Parka.

Anyone going?

Is Roddy Woomble doing his traditional Scottish stuff? I saw that in the Lemon Tree a few years ago it was excellent.

Seconded

I loved his Woody Guthrie cover of Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key

Yes he will be. He doesn't perform idlewild-esque electric sets solo

Roddy Wooble's solo stuff is fantastic. Really enjoyed it and I think he was recording a new solo album. The lemon tree show was great too. A good addition to that line up.

Me and the girlfriend are going I think.

Question are the tipi's included in the ticket price?

Nope, you have to book them separately if you want one.

Any reason why John McCusker has been removed from the lineup in the OP? They are touring as Drever/McCusker/Wooble and have an album coming out.

I saw John McCusker playing in Mark Knopfler's band on Sunday and he was in fine form.

can i just warn you all that parka are fucking abysmally shite and their very existence within the musical industry makes me absolutely certain that all music is doomed, because in edinburgh people thought they were good at a gig

Wizard was ace, the best festival I've been to in ages. The atmosphere was really good and it was great to see so many kids having a ball. The bands were all amazing and i loved every minute of it. Cant wait till next year!!!!

lol

Good investigative "skillz"

It was just weird seeing the aberdeen-music and aberdeen-mad posts in the space of 5 minutes when I was reading the forums. After posting them here I decided to google it for a laugh and lo and behold....

Worst viral marketing attempt ever.
