Any local guitar refinishers?

I've never painted a guitar body, but I have sanded down a Stratocaster, past the enamel black finish to the natural wood, and finished it with a grain wax. Changed all the plastic hardware to black, so it's in the vein of a Springsteen Telecaster, but not a Telecaster obviously.

I love Natural Wood coloured guitars. Paint just ruins them

Thats sort of the plan with this one, although a laquer finish is what I really want, I just dont have the patience to finish the sanding, its doing my head in.

I've made and sprayed a few guitars before. I only tend to use natural finishes as in dyed lacquer and only tend to use cellulose lacquer. I have all my spray equipment set up at work just now and will be spraying a couple of guitars once i've finished uni at the end of may. I could probably give it a blast then if that's of interest.

Here's some pictures of some of my finishes:

I've built all these bodies from scratch and sprayed them too. Most of the necks (apart from the hollow lezzer) are bought.

Here is a 'halfords appliance white' special too:

What sort of finish were you thinking? Something similar to this sort of thing?

Pete

my mate painted this and her sisters fiance lacquered it. not sure if he does things like this a lot but i think she would be up for doing more guitars if anyone wants

Eh....no thanks, it might be worth pointing out to them that it would take about 3 minutes to remove the neck, bridge and jack socket plate....!!! BEFORE paintingo_O
