Jeanette
Amazing!! I want a glittery car!! My purple is not quite so glamourous!!Enjoy it! It's def nippy enough for city driving - that's all mine does except occasional trips back to Glasgow - it also copes well on the motorway - yours def will with it being new. fatboy
things to keep an eye on with ka'slower wishbone bushes can split fairly often, depending whether its the old tappet engine or the new overhead cam one, the tappet one can get fairly noisey if you dont get the valve clearances adjusted, other things, cylinder 4 misfires and number 4 ht leads are bad for goingalso heater resisters are bad on ka'salso if its the old style engine it will have a cast sump which rot away after a while, the newer engine ones have an alloy sump so they dont rust as fastneed any homers give me a shout
Captain America
Also look out for rusting. Especially on the door-sils when it gets a bit older. My brother had a KA as his first car. Never had any real problems with it (except that, but its easily fixed), and he said it was a really good car.
fatboy
yeah you'll always get cheap parts for fordies and they're the easiest kinda cars to fix
Jeanette
Yup... agree bout the rusting... mine's does round the door and the petrol cap door. My car is 9 years old now... so can be expected I suppose. And yes... my heaters have given in! My car is in it's final months! It's creaking like an old lady! But yeah... It's been reliable for the 5 years I've had it and no major problems. Anything has been easily fixed!
