Scootray
Alesis DM-5 Kit Pro (GAK)I bought these about 2/3 months ago. Do the job for practicing at home, and I've got it hooked up to a 10watt amp if I'm jamming with the flatmates. There's about 20 different kits on it, and a range of sounds too. The Milner
whats it like to play?Looks a bit better than the session pro like.
Scootray
Obviously it's not perfect, you get what you pay for, but the bounce from the pads is reasonable enough. The rims don't respond like normal rims which is annoying, but I'm guessing that it's overall better than the session pro, and the lower model of Alesis, which at first I did consider buying. Stamina
Not a drummer, but I saw something that might be worth a swatch....Maplin > iEDO5 USB Digital Drum Kitmight be a piece of shit, but if its just for home use it might do the job! spellchecker
Roland TD-12K (GAK)i once played one of these (and also the TD-20k) at the turnkey shop in london. it sounds absolutely amazing. it is staggering how it responds to the different ways you hit the mesh heads. the hi hat was amazing too. unfortunately they are bloody expensive. Scorge
I once used a Pintech Studio set up: fucking awesome, but pricey.Roland TD's are alright, and probably in your price range.
