Sam 45
I just saw this band for the first time tonight. I thought they were absolutely amazing. Does anyone else know them/like them?
RossP
We've played about 3 or 4 shows with them. They are indeed excellent!!

Guest idol_wild
I'm veering away from post-rock to a huge degree at the moment, but I do keep meaning to give them a proper listen. I have a funny feeling they won't be melancholic enough for me, and they'd veer more towards the Pelican/Isis side of post-rock. Which is not my bag.Am I right? stuartmaxwell
nah they are more meandering melodic side of stuff with uptempo drumsin a genre of music that has become so boring and saturated they actually do it quite well. but they really do play for too long
Sam 45
Played maybe just over 30 mins in Glasgow. They had a live cello-ist at the show, im not sure if this is a new addition, but it worked so well with the music.Beyond This Point Are Monsters had van troubles and couldn't make it to the show which i was pretty gutted about. chris h
I saw them play at Edinburgh Student Union when I was in first or second year, so they must be at least 8 or 9 years old. Thought they'd folded a long time ago though.

Guest idol_wild
I'm kind of done with guitar-based post-rock. But I gave them a listen and I was far from blown away. They're just the same old, same old.
lepeep
that's exactly what I thought...a watered down "Superheroes of BMX " 10 years too late.it's pleasant...and "lovely background music"...but hardly amazing.
