A HAWK AND A HACKSAW

Fresh from supporting Portishead on the Portuguese, Italian and UK legs of their European tour, and prior to their ATP show, were delighted to welcome back old friends A Hawk And A Hacksaw.

The regular duo of Jeremy Barnes (ex Neutral Milk Hotel) and Heather Trost will be joined by Chris Hladowski from Scatter and Nalle (bouzouki/clarinet/bratch). The group will be performing their singular synthesis of eastern and western folk music, gypsy song, Klezmer and Mexican fanfare, taking inspiration from the last century and beyond.

BENJAMIN WETHERILL

With a coward-esque warble and a precise and deliberate manner, Benjamin Wetherill cuts an unusual figure amongst his song-writing contemporaries, performing a romantic blend of darkened, spidery arch-folk and pre-war-swoon material.

From folk crowds to indie and experimental audiences, over the past four years Benjamin has wooed listeners and made an ineffable impression on the UK underground music scene through a constant performance schedule and numerous, independently released recordings.

Really looking forward to this!

so you should be!

AHAAH were spellbinding when they supported Portishead in Edinburgh the other week.

Although the large-ish venue (Corn Exchange) didn't do them any favours and a few divs were doing Borat impersonations. Hilarious. o_O

Let's quote that bad boy again!

Monday!

which is today=tonight

Interesting fact both Jeremy & Heather played on the 1st release & played live on quite a few occasions with the amazing BERUIT

With the addition of Chris on this uk tour could really be something very very special tonight.

Given the band, kind of redundant to say it was a great night. It was always going to be so! Loved the 'unplugged' encore, too.

that certainly was a WoW of a night & thanks to those folks that travelled from Dundee, Montrose, out of town & all those who made the effort to go to an inspiting event on a Monday night. All the artists were wowed by the genuine warmth of their reception.
