The Hangover last night.

Very funny film indeed.

It was rather good. My favourite bit was actually the photos at the credits

Also saw Night at the Museum 2 as part of my school's activities week on wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed that. Lots of great cameos and improv.

Saturday - I watched Rise of the Footsoldier. A cautionary tale abaht some right 'orrible cahnt, who's with the ICF, bunch of 'orrible West 'am cahnts, 'til some Millwall slaaaag hit him on the bonce with a Basement Jax. He starts his own firm of 'orrible cahnts running the doors at night clubs....and so forth. The movie ends of with the infamous Essex Murders, where some 'orrible cahnt's wiv shootas, ventilated another bunch of 'orrible cahnts. 6.5/10

Sunday - Went to see Terminator : Salvation - Good no-brainer, with excellent effects and great post-apocalytic imagery. I did have an issue with the ending...7/10

Charlie Wilsons War: pretty solid story with top acting but the biggest selling-point for me was the script, which threw up loads of funny & witty one-liners as well as some comedy situations. Seymour-Hoffman steals the show, and the film should keep you amused and informed, although the light-hearted mood makes it difficult to gauge how much of it is accurate. 7/10

Princess (2006): mostly animation, but spliced with real video. A film about one mans bad-blood against the porn industry. Weird story, weird animation and some royally fucked-up subject matter Worth a look for those that like their films different, but slow pace to begin with may put people off. 6/10

http://www.aberdeen-music.com/forums/movies-tv/54247-fall.html#post755084 2nd time in a couple of months, still enjoyed it tremendously. Cant beat this film for looks, the storys simple and actings great. A Must see! 9/10

Ratatoulie: not as good as other pixar offerings and a pretty textbook story: misunderstood animal / robot has to change attitudes and be accepted for one life passion - succeeds. Entertaining, but more for the kids than films like Toy Story 6/10

Juno: 3rd/4th time round, still affa enjoyable. Really like the quirky indie feel, despite the relatively established cast and the director shoving his 'cooler-than-you' influences in all over the place. Great story, although it totally glorifies teen pregnancy to the maxxx! 8/10

you should never tell me that ill get to see tits!

ill never be able to say no

If you're judging the film on tit count then it's actually pretty good.

However if you're judging it on anything else, eg. plot, character development, directing, LOL moments, cinematography, soundtrack etc. then it's absolute balls.

Quarantine. Remake of [REC]. [REC] was better.

It was pretty much a scene by scene remake and the acting was neither better or worse (and they're both pretty bad but it is low budget horror)... I suppose I like [REC] more because it was Spanish and non-Hollywood films always seem more interesting to me. Novelty value I suppose.

I watched Zoolander last night, hadn't seen it in a while and my gal had never seen it - still brilliant, especially the petrol fight. Stiller's best IMO.

One of my top films, I like te "What is this.......a centre for ants?" part amongst others....."Black Lung" "Supplise!" and "Merman"

I'm aware of that having seen both films, it was the constant darkness and overly shaky camerawork in the remake that annoyed me, [REC] seemed more balanced with the scenes in darkness more sparing and hence more effective.

Die Hard 2... loved it! First one was better though. I'd never seen either of them until this past week - how did I live my life without much knowledge of John McClane?! Hero.

My goodness, you've never seen them until the past week? Have you been living in a cellar? o_O

The first one is the best, I agree.

The bucket list: two terminal cancer patients try and have fun with their remaining time on earth sound cheery? Its actually quite a good film. Seeing two heavyweight actors (Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman) play off each other is something else, but why oh why is Freeman always cast as an omniscient black man!?!? Hes the new ultimate typecast. Pretty daft story, but a good pick-me-up with some amazing scenery although its quite a slow-burner. 7/10

i watched this on the plane to florida last year and completely cried my eyes out! i'm such a girl with sad films. crying on a plane too, what a loser.
