WoodyRATM
Hey,I've got a problem with my xbox (or router perhaps?).I can play people like randomly in the world in games like halo or CoD4 but everytime i try to create a game (or join) with folk i actually know, it says "cannot connect to host" (in the case of call of duty).I'm presuming its a NAT issue, and my xbox says its set to strict...Is there anyway to amend this? I'm using a BT homehub if that helps. Also i suck at networking stuff help?CheersDave x
Captain America
If its a homehub, its usually quite easy.Turn off your xbox, go and reset the router (turn it off). Then turn your xbox back on and do another conenction test. It should now be open, and away you go.Thats always worked for mine, they just seem to have a habit of setting themselves to strict. Chris
I posted a description of how to reset your routers NAT in the halo 3 thread:http://www.aberdeen-music.com/forums/gaming-technology/45561-halo-3-a-7.html#post632269Dunno if that applies to a homehub though. framheim
it's also worth noting that it can be fucking impossible to connect to games at certain times of the day no matter what your nat. cod 4 is particularly frustrating late in the evening when you've got a big group together trying to play ground war. bah.
