CARIBOU (City Slang/Merge)

Having toured around the world playing his new long play Andorra, we are simply thrilled that Dan Snaith's Caribou is going to bring his FOUR piece Poptastic-Kraut-electro-'60's vocal influenced-visual roadshow back to Aberdeen on the last leg of the Andorra tour.

Caribou's events always bring forth glowing sunshine and smiles, just what everyone will want 2/3s the way through February. Come and see him in one of his favourite venues, where his new VISUALS will be guaranteed to "work a treat".

"All up it was the most engaging Caribou live show yet, and one that would have sounded even better in a slightly different setting".

Caribou coming to one of his favourite UK venues will certainly provide that......look out for a special performance and a very special night, because we also have...

ZIGGY CAMPBELL

Ziggy Campbell was brought up in Hawick. His father wasn't a butcher and he never had the brow for rugby so he wrote songs instead. He formed hi-tech lo-fi pop experimentalists FOUND in 2005. A label called FENCE RECORDS decided they liked FOUND and wanted to release their latest album. Johnny who runs FENCE said that Ziggy was "a truly unique voice and a songwriter with fresh ideas." These fresh ideas include developing a sideline solo project which is being unwrapped with staggering effect and never FOUND wanting.

Who will forget his Aberdeen solo debut supporting The Pictish Trail & The Fence Collective in late 2007? - so, so good we have got him back as the only support. Need we say any more........

great line up, very exciting that Caribou is coming to Aberdeen. my sister saw him in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago & said their set was fantastic. People should go to this

aye some great reviews coming out of his Australia dates. Me thinks it could well be the

best one Mr Caribou has done in Aberdeen.

Dude. :(

I thought this was at Peacocks for some reason. ?(

Either way, all their stuff's sold out of One Up (or was, last time I went in...) and so, I might go to this. Friends will be pressurised.

if you have any doubts about Caribou live ask titch downstairs in 1UP, one of the best

live artists around, with visuals to enhance. Caribou is in tremendous form. here's another

review from an Australian festival a couple of weeks ago

Gig Review: Caribou

Combining tracks from his latest offering, Andorra, alongside a whole collection of older tunes Snaith and his three comrades mesmerized the packed house throughout their hour long set. The fantastic adaption of the songs from electronic computer-based rhythms to organic, living, breathing slaps of psychedelic bliss was faultless. Their sound completely filled the outdoor tent structure - full and precise - it even sounding amazing from the back of the room. As they pulled themselves back onto the stage for an encore and temporarily increased the number of drummers from two to three for the brilliant chaotic climax, even those who were saying 'Cari-who' only fifty-five minutes earlier stopped their holiday photo presentation and got their minds well and truly blown. Definitely one of the more rewarding - and simply amazing - shows from an international act that I have witnessed in some time.
