David Insurrection
the NME also said that Gallows were the best punk band to come out in the last 20 years, now THAT is hilarious.Hilarious indeed. Anyone else catch their appalling cover of The Ruts classic Staring At The Rude Boys? Catch the original here:

Pierre Von Mondragon
Have mainly bought old stuff this year, its cheap. theres lots of it, and much of that is good. But I have enjoyed 'Untrue' by Burial and 'Joystone' by Jimi Tenor, and I'm sure they came out this year, and 'Kingdom of Fear' by Shitdisco. I have heard odd tunes that are good.

Guest Tam o' Shantie
nobody mentioned anything about release dates, so 2005's Edan - Beauty And The Beat is officially the best album I only found out about this year, and he is one of the highlights of my gigging year also. Primitive Plus is good too, but nowhere near as good as that one. Where did you see him live?
Guest Tam o' Shantie
yeah i've never got into primative plus much, but BATB is just so consistently amazing. saw him at ATPminehead in may, with dagha guesting, it was amazing, some of the shit was just played with an acoustic guitar through distortion&delay, he was beat juggling with one hand and rapping into his mic in the other, and during 'rock n roll', dagha had LPs of every single band/album namechecked in the song, and chucked them down one by one as edan ticked 'em off!
