Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Apartment 213 - Domestic Powerviolence split

Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Kill the Client split 7"

Pig Destroyer - Phantom Limb

Neurosis - Given to the Rising

Ladyscraper - The Death of Mary Poppins

Magrudergrind - Rehashed

Yacopsae - Tanz Grozny Tanz!

top marks go to Agoraphobic Nosebleed; think its one split LP, one split 7" and one split 5" and another 7" with just them on it so far this year.....AND a new vocalist. Legends.

the split 5" with Crom is the first one with the new female vocalist, Kat. Check her vocals on "Home Invasion" - MySpace.com - Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Springfield, US - Grindcore / Thrash / Hardcore - www.myspace.com/agoraphobicnb

As they say in their blog...."This bitch can spit."

Oh, and I jumped the gun a bit, the 5" hasnt actually been released yet, but they do say it'll be out this year!

I don't know about best album this year yet but...

I think the Bloc Party album is much better then it is given credit for it. I really like it. And even though lots of people will hate Babyshambles without even hearing the album, Shotters Nation is very good.

Also, Andy Votel- One Nation Under A Grave mix may be my favourite if it counts?

that bloc party is actually quite good. i do agree, a lot less obvious than the first album, and stronger in so many ways...

Agreed. I think it's less immediate than Silent Alarm, but it's got a more complete feel to it rather than just a handful of cracking singles held together by some good(ish) filler.

I'll decide what the best album of the year is when the year ends. I've still to hear quite a few albums from bands i'm interested in (Ire Works by Dillinger Escape Plan and The Big Dirty by Every Time I Die and some others).

thats because people who read the NME are clueless and don't listen to other things unless they are told to.

well thanks with a little help from the NME i found out about some of my now favourite new bands such as Los Campesinos and Those Dancing Days. and that Bis are going on tour again. so before anyone goes off slating the NME or those who read it...mind that it is not as "cool" as previously believed. no matter what veteran scenesters may say.

the NME also said that Gallows were the best punk band to come out in the last 20 years, now THAT is hilarious.
